Congratulations! on a lovely book on a very interesting area ‘emotions @ work’. The book filled with so many professionals’ experience and case studies unleashes great insights on emotions @ Work. It can certainly help readers to sharpen their acumen on significance of emotions in one’s life, how to recognise the state of emotions people experience and finally how to deal with it as an individual, manager or organisational leader. I recommend this book for those who wish to enhance self and employees’ happiness quotient, team bonding and finally productivity. I wish you all the best for the release.

I am not a specialist in the field and so I read the book with some apprehension. Management practitioners need to read this book as this is a subject which is not touched upon very frequently due to its sensitive nature. We all live with emotions on our sleeve ; in this book the author highlights how emotions bring about positive as well as negative ways in which people work. Case studies and highlights from the interviews of professionals provide an insight into the practical aspects of the term “emotion” and thereby the best way to deal with them – which generally is left unaddressed as it is considered an internal feeling that people experience. A brief book that packs more in its pages than most, worth reading and a subject very well highlighted that needs to be acted on by the relevant stakeholders. In the professional sphere, life is often a “game of emotions” and it is incumbent on us not to allow “emotions take the drivers’ seat” but to allow emotions to become “fuel at work”!!!
